After a quiet morning beneath the apple trees, Rosie sets her baskets neatly under each tree. The work is done; the rest is up to nature, in her apple picker era.

She nua under the tree, her red cardigan catching the soft afternoon light. Above, the apples sway gently, waiting for the right moment to drop. One by one, they begin to fall, a gentle rhythm of patience and trust.

As she rests beneath the apple tree, she's really just nua (in Singlish), that blissful state of doing absolutely nothing and being perfectly content about it. It's when you melt into your chair after lunch, stretch out in the afternoon light, or lie on the floor just because it feels nice.

To nua is to rest without guilt, to let time slow down, to simply be.
It's cozy. It's calm. It's the art of unhurried living. 🍃
